Beach Please 2024 ran from July 11 – 13 in Romania, Constinesti and it was quite the rollercoaster of an experience. Looking back at it now, I wouldn’t change anything about it and would say I had an amazing time. It was a different story in the moment however, and I wanted to talk about it here to hopefully help you decide if Beach Please is worth going to. I’ll be separating the positive and the negative, and then an overall review will be at the end. I also have a vlog uploaded to my YouTube channel which you can watch HERE.

To start off with the positives, I can confidently say that Beach Please was the best festival I have been to. The lineup was amazing considering that the Beach Please only debuted in 2022 with Romanian artists. I got to tick off a lot of bucket list performances that I have been wanting to see, and it never got boring. Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Swae Lee, Yeat and Anitta were the performances I was most excited for. Everyone brought amazing energy, and the whole entire crowd reciprocated it.
Most of the crowd were Romanian people despite the headliners being popular Western artists. I was expecting more international people, especially from other countries in Europe because of the massive scale of the festival. I’m half Bulgarian so to me, it felt familiar and like a massive Eastern European wedding. I felt comfortable and whoever we interacted with were super nice and accommodating. And I can’t forget to the mention the food that was being served. Oh. My. God. The food. Everything we had was so delicious and much cheaper than expected. The stalls were a mix of small businesses and big Romanian brands. Considering this was a festival, everyone went above and beyond with the service and quality of food. There were a countless number of options, so you will most definitely find something that you would like. From pizza to fried foods, to donuts, to seafood, there is truly something for everyone. As for drinks, they only had the basic options at the bars but thankfully nothing was overpriced, and water especially was always available.

I went in a group of 4 people and booked and Airbnb in a village called Techirghiol which is supposed to be a 25-minute drive away from where the festival was located. Using Uber in Romania is super easy & cheap, so we had used this as our main mode of transport to get to our destination every day. However, we quickly came to the realisation that it would take between 1 – 2 hours of travel back and forth EVERY DAY. Beach Please is held in practically a coastal village, with a population of only 3000 people. The infostructure of the area is not made to handle the 200,000 people that visited in 2024, which became most apparent on the last day. The traffic to and from was one of the worst I’ve seen, and because of the small population in the area, there were not enough Ubers to get around to everyone.
The festival ended at around 4am after Travis Scott’s set and with him being the most anticipated artist, EVERYONE left at the same time. With thousands of people all trying to leave the field, book Ubers, hail taxis and take the onsite coach back home, it was an absolute nightmare. We spent the first 30 minutes leaving the venue and then the hour after trying to book an uber and find a way home. We managed to get into an Uber, only to sit in standstill traffic for 2 hours with no signs of movement at all. We also tried our luck at the train station which had sold out of tickets and had no trains arrive for an hour or so. At this point, we had completely given up and just started walking. We were prepared to walk all the way back to our Airbnb if needed but alas, a kind gentleman offered us a ride (for a price of course). I would never recommend you getting into a random guy’s car, but desperate times cause for desperate measures! After over 40,000 steps taken, all our phones dying and waiting for 4 hours, we finally get back to our Airbnb around 9am. It was quite the adventure to say the least and is now a story to tell. Considering that the number of attendees is projected to be around 500,000, travel and accommodation is the most important thing to consider when planning your trip to Beach Please.
It was a fun time in general, especially if you’re going with a group of friends. I can see Beach Please growing to an even bigger festival in the near future and becoming one of the top festivals in Europe. It should be on every concert goers bucket list of festivals to go to, but a warning: you must have the energy to be able to go to all days to see everything they have to offer. If you don’t already live in Romania, in my opinion, the only ticket worth buying would be the general admission pass for all 3 days.
